Sail Date: Dec 2013

Sailed on the Oasis of the Seas on December 14th-21st with a friend of mine and had a wonderful time. We booked a Grand Suite (Room 10654) on the 10th deck and the views as well as the cabin were fantastic. Our Cabin Steward, Albert was great in making sure we had plenty of towels and the room was in good order each time we returned. Here's a breakdown of our experience.

Check-in/Departure: We arrived at the port at 12:30PM and checkin was a breeze. It literally took about 10 minutes to process our documentation and get our pictures taken. The only issue was that one of our suitcases wound up getting lost and we didn't receive it until about 8PM that night. Departure was also very quick even though we were among the last to leave the ship due to a late flight.

Meals: We had made reservations at Chops Grill, 150 Central Park and Izumi for this cruise and loved each of the venues with central park being our favorite. We had a six course meal at Central Park and each entrée was delicious. Having our own waiter was a nice touch and we both loved the 6 different salts that came with the bread. It was such a unique experience

Cabin Review

The Suite was spacious for just the two of us. Everything was in proper working order and the bed was very comfortable to sleep in after a long day of being at the pool or excursions. Our room attendant, Albert was very polite and responsive to any needs we had. Two of the nights we received truffles in our room which was nice. The only problem I had with the room was that the balcony glass was filthy. I mentioned this to one of the officers that we met on the rising tide bar and he promptly sent someone to our room to address the problem. The floor supervisor stopped by our suite however this was at night and very difficult if not impossible to show him how dirty the balcony glass was. Apparently all balcony windows are washed after the 3rd port visit however that didn't happen in our case.
