This was my 5th time sailing and my 4th with carnival. I love being on the big fun ships but being on the newest one sparked my interest. I go with my mom, aunt, cousin, and grandmother. The ship itself is very organized. It has plenty of things to keep the new cruiser entertained. As for the returning cruiser, there are some elements to this ship that are just too recurring withy the other CCL ships. But if you have always been on the smaller class ships like the Pride, Ecstasy, elation. Spirit, etc, then you should have no problem being BLOWN AWAY by this ship. One thing about carnival that they need to work on is getting newer and more fun games to play. Yes, the bran bag toss is always competitive, but some things like various trivia games need to a be updated (for those past cruisers who know the Love and Marriage Game on carnival know what I'm talking about).

Other than games, I'll move on to good and other entertainment. The food on the Sunshine was the best food I've had ever on a cruise. I'm sure every ship has the same updated menu, but it is no doubt that CCL found perfection in their food. The dining room atmosphere for any cruiser is always great, but you must know that the key to making your finding room experience great is having a fantastic waiter. We were lucky to have a great waiter (Jovon is his name). Now I'll move on to the entertainment staff, including dancers and stuff. The shows inboard the sunshine were amazing! We had bad weather on the cruise so the shows had to change a couple of times, but honestly I might've preferred their plan B shows. There was one in particular that impressed me. It was called "The Flying Scotsman" and it was just one of the singers on the Sunshine doing a solo rock concert. I don't know why he's on a cruise line and not on broadway. You can look him up, Chris Williams is his name. Other than "The Flying Scotsman", the other shows were also amazing. Carnival spent a ton of money refurbishing this Liquid Lounge to make it the best theatrical and technological studio in Cruising. And I'll just say this, they pulled it off.

Overall, the Carnival Sunshine is definitely one to spend as your home away from home.

Cabin Review

Small, as usual, but very new.
