We flew Thrusday morning from Houston to Orlando to San Juan on Southwest Airlines. Flight was smooth and connections a breeze. Stayed at Sheraton at Old San Juan, walking distance to ship. Great accommodations and entertainment. Casino and a different band on patio every night. Great view of city and harbor. Subway and CVS very close. Mojito's restaurant just north of hotel, is to die for.Bell hops give you the scoop on places to eat and visit. Used cabs for tansportation. Used Johnny's Taxi Service for a day tour of Old San Juan, checking out the beachs while driving towards Rain Forest. We shopped and ate at local shops. Even stopped in at a local grocery store. Got t-shirts and coffee at their prices. Johnny takes credit cards, his brother Leslie takes cash. Sunday morning around 11:30, we walked wirh our luggage to terminal. Being Platinium, their took our luggage and sent us to customs and on to the VIFP lounge to wait for signal to board the ship. No sooner had I given them our papers and grabbed a cup of coffee, it was time to go. Last in the lounge, first couple on the ship. Ship was clean and well taken care of. Liked the different atmosphere, people and cruise. More laid back than cruising out of Galveston. Great ports of call. Took Bacardi Rum tour on debarkation of ship. We had an 3:30pm flight back to Houston, so the tour worked out well. Plenty of time. Will cruise again. Since Carnival's website won't let me do a review of this cruise, I hope their reading this. Shout out to our Head Waiter: Edwin and Wayan in Washington Dining Room Upper, 8:15PM Drinks: Bartender Parsa, New World Pool and Bar. Waiter in The Big Easy Piano Bar and Rome Main Lounge. Johnny and Moe, your the best! Last but not least, our Room Steward Komang.

Only I have is having to pay $4.50 for internet access to print an airline boarding pass. Cheap, cheap, cheap! Any hotel all over the world does this for free! Tacky, tacky, tacky! Person next to us paid $10.00 to print his boarding pass. He was equally pissed. Carnival has changed their ways, that's all I'm saying.

Cabin Review

Good spot on ship. Only problem is people forget to turn off their balcony light at night. Makes it very difficult to sit out on balcony and enjoy the moon and stars.
