Exceeded our expectations

Sail Date: November 2013
Destination: Australia & New Zealand
Embarkation: Sydney (Australia)

This was the first cruise my husband and I have taken and we loved it! We booked a Junior Suite which was reasonably priced and our room (8066)was fabulous with a big balcony, lots of storage and a roomy living area. (My only gripe was the bath. Why not an ordinary shower which is much easier to get in and out of.) The food in the Edelweiss restaurant was great and the service was efficient. We only ate a few times in the Windjammer restaurant but didnt like the mass produced tasteof the food there.

We enjoyed most of the entertainment but thought the Rhapsody Dancers and singers were poor especially the girls. The specialty acts were fabulous and some evenings we went to both shows.

The outside pool was fabulous but despite a list of rules the crew did nothing to stop the bad behaviour of a few feral children which was rather disappointing.

The optional excursions were a bit of a rip off but we anticipated that.

We bought some great souvenir More teeshirts in the shop on the first day and were glad we visited when we did as the best items sold out very wuickly and stock wasnt replaced. The glittery lanyards were fun- wish I had bought more. We met some interesting people but also enjoyed time to ourselves and there were lots of quiet areas to retreat to, We were well looked after and will definitly travel on Rhapsody of the Seas again.
