Thomson Dream ......HUH...DREAM ON ! Have cruised with Thomson quite a few times but unfortunately never again enough is enough. The restaurant service was crap,the food now arrives as very small portions and tasteless had better in a transport cafe . Our cabin was on deck 5 number 5052 and although quite spacious we were woken every morning at 6.15 am by an emergency exit used by the crew door constantly banging the door was opposite our cabin, we were supposed to be on holiday and relaxing not being woken up at that time of the morning. ( not amused ) and yes we complained constantly.... daily in fact but were fobbed off daily they just did not seem to understand or did not want to know....no chance of DREAMING after 6.15 am on that ship. The only good thing about the cruise was the crew talent show. The fashion show always used to be followed by afternoon tea where the selection of biscuits and cakes used to be fabulous all you get now is a luke warm cup of tea and a nibble on a stick , appalling. The ship itself is so tatty and tired . when you arrive in the ports alongside of the other ships you almost want to don a false moustache and a trilby hat just in case any one recognises you. You pay just as much for a cruise on this ship compared to the many grander cruise ships. One last thing the safe in your cabin......where you are charged weekly......other cruise lines are FREE......we did not use this facility just locked our valuables in our suitcase. The only good thing we were only on the ship for a week and stayed in Barbados in Butterfly Beach Hotel for the second week which was marvelous over Christmas, some poor folks were on the cruise for two weeks :( DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND GIVE THE DREAM A VERY WIDE BERTH.
