NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER AGAIN!

Sail Date: December 2013
Destination: Western Caribbean
Embarkation: Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Being a seasoned cruise lover having spent 560 nights on 36 P&O Cruises since 1991 we were very sad that there was not a P&O cruise that matched our holiday dates for the New Year December 2013. Stupidly we went for the Carnival Freedom Caribbean alternative.

Be warned anyone that has experienced a UK cruise, the Carnival Line is totally inadequate. Please believe me –

The food is awful, The food is awful, The food is awful, The food is awful, The food is awful, The food is awful, The food is awful, The food is awful,

The food was always cold, The food was always cold, The food was always cold, The food was always cold, The food was always cold, The food was always cold, The food was always cold, The food was always cold,

The restaurant service was hopeless, The restaurant service was hopeless, The restaurant service was hopeless, The restaurant service was hopeless, The restaurant service was hopeless, The restaurant service was More hopeless, The restaurant service was hopeless, The restaurant service was hopeless, The restaurant service was hopeless,

Additionally this is the only restaurant in the world where the waiters carry their heavy trays of food OVER YOUR HEAD – thankfully you’d never get scalded - the food was always cold – but nerve racking never the less.

The dress code is hit and miss, the entertainment was amateurish, The décor is horrible and tasteless.

To top the nightmare of the cruise was the flights they put us on, flying out was barely acceptable from Heathrow to Atlanta then a 2 hour 50 min wait until we flew on to Miami.

The Hilton in Miami and the dinner there was great. Next day we wanted to confirm the bus transfer but the telephone number supplied was wrong so we just had to wait and hope. OK the bus did turn up.

Coming Home could not have been worse, Three flights via Charlotte and believe it or not MUNICH took over 19 hours when a direct flight takes 9! Carnival just find the cheapest way to fly with NO consideration for you. Our protests, once we were advised of the travel arrangements, were dismissed as that’s all you get.

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER AGAIN! Less
