Had another great family vacation with Royal Caribbean. Interesting leaving from a cold port. We got to Bayonne about 11 and people were still leaving the ship. However, they have the drop off system well organized. They take your "checked" luggage right at the drop off and then the driver parks the car while the rest of the party can wait under the large canopy. Once inside things moved fairly quickly. Having to take shuttle buses to the actual ship slows things down a bit. Once on board the Windjammer is open for lunch but they ask you not to stay there after you finish eating since others are still looking to eat. The rooms are open at 1:30. We went up to Dizzy's lounge on 14 and had plenty of space to wait.

As always, the staff everywhere is very friendly and good at what they do. We really enjoy the dining room experience.

We took the Airboat Ride and Alligator Jungle excursion in Port Canaveral. It was well done. The airboat ride was cold and we didn't see much but he did scare some baby alligators into surfacing. In the cooler weather the alligators prefer to be under water where it's warmer. So go for the experience of an airboat ride not because you think you'll see large alligators. You stay in generally shallow but open waters. They do have baby alligators that they let you hold. The Jungle Adventure park is a small operation. It has a lot of animals in small enclosures including alligators and crocodiles. The tour operation is done very smoothly. It is a very long, convoluted walk to get off and on the ship through the cruise terminal.

Cabin Review

Love this room. It's a pity you have to have 5 people to book it because it would be just perfect for a family of 4. Love having the balcony on the back of the boat. It is a huge balcony. On deck 8, we had balconies above us that looked down onto us- kinda weird. We looked down on an open deck used rarely by the crew. There is a table with 4 chairs and there are also 4 lounge chairs on the deck. They had also given us a fifth chair for the table for our fifth person.
