Pre cruise: We stayed at Sheraton Suites Cypress Creek. Nice, took shuttle service to Port Everglades. embarkation was a breeze. We were within the first fifty people to board @ 11:30 and were on board by 12:15. The first impression of the Jewel is astounding! She truly is a beauty with all the tasteful colors, artwork, and very well laid out.

Ship: Again, very beautiful, still looks new, and very well laid out once you get your bearings. What she lacks from the Voyager class (promenade, ice rink, etc..) she gains in a stunning atrium, solarium, and the best lounge at sea (Safari Club..you have got to try the self-leveling pool tables!!) Cabin: We had a D1 Balcony cabin in the middle of the hump. Very nice, plenty of space and storage, requested an egg crate for the bed, and without it, you could notice a considerable dip in the middle of the bed. Food: While food is very subjective, and everyone has their own opinion, we were very disappointed in the quality out of seven other ships we have sailed on with RCCL. Meats were of poor quality, with little to no seasoning, and the menu has change very little in our six years of cruising with this company. With that said, we never went hungry!

Entertainment: Just saw a few shows, which were good, but, I am not one who enjoys production shows, so, we just caught the comedy shows. Of course, the best were the Quest and Love and Marriage..not to be missed on any cruise!!!
