Carnival Pride 12/29/13
Ron and I had a great time.
NYE was very fun! We stood upstairs and looked over the railing so we were out of the crowd. Lots of dancing!.
We brought glow necklaces. We also brought a box of Blinkie Ship Pins. Wore them all week and anyone who asked me for one, or who made a nice comment about them, I gave them one. Always had a pocket full of them.
Our ship had over 600 kids but they never were underfoot.
Thank goodness it was warm and sunny in Nassau!
Chef's Table was very enjoyable. The chef really presents a showcase of great foods. We had a tour of the kitchen then a 7 course meal in Beauties. 14 people. Very fancy.
FTTF. Well, I would do this again but it was not a perfect experience. Because of delays we did not get in our room any quicker but our luggage was waiting for us. It was great to get up to the Lido Deck for lunch and champagne before the masses!
Debarkation was another issue. FTTF gives you priority debarkation but we did not carry off our luggage. We went thru customs only to find out the luggage had not cleared so we had to go back to the benches and wait. All the self-assist passengers got off before us. Then we heard the assistant cruise director’s voice come over the radio saying sections 1-5 were clear. We walked right past the customs officer’s desk saying we were cleared before. We were not challenged at all. Really made me feel this was so unsecure. Anyone could have one this.
We got our luggage and left.
We did a day trip to Malia (Sheratin) Resort on Cable Beach. Nice hot sunny day. $100 for two which got us a cheeseburger and soft drink.
We took the local Jitney for $1.25. We have been to Cable Beach/Nassau a few times before. Knew our way around.
