The Grandeur of the Seas is an older ship, but with her renovations, both before the fire of 2013, and after, she is beautiful. After having sailed on Adventure of the Seas, the difference in size and amenities was a little off-putting.

Our itinerary was six sea days and four port days. For someone with motion sickness tendencies, like myself and my daughter, sea days are not favorites. We were both pretty sick, but dealt with it the best we could. Bonine was our friend. Honestly, though, the ship rocked pretty heavily during the sea days on the front half of the trip. Returning to Baltimore wasn't so bad, and the last day, the seas were positively glassy.

Our room, 3154 was a large oceanview stateroom, with two Pullman beds. We traveled with our two teenaged children. Four adult (sized) people in one room, with enough belongings for a ten night cruise was cramped, and I will be looking into connecting rooms if we sail together again. We did hear a lot of noise in our cabin, from bumps and bangs, to rattling from one of the Pullman beds. I actually left the room in the middle of the night one night and went to Guest Services to complain about the rattle. It was so loud that I couldn't sleep. It was then that I realized the entire boat was groaning and creaking from the rough seas. The next day there was a rag stuffed between the bed and the wall, to prevent the noise. It was enough to quiet it, so I was thankful.

Cabin Review

Standard size room, with two drop down Pullman beds. The bathroom didn't have much storage, but we liked the shower being a corner shower.
