We took this cruise with great expectations only to find that Cruise was no where close to our expectations. For starters we are vegetarians and had checked with the Cruise line and if we could get Vegetarian food besides the usual salads and subs. We had also specifically requested for Indian food due to our dietary restrictions. We were told that there would be wide selection of Indian and Vegetarian food but there was a limited selection

Food - There were very limited Vegetarian choices. There was a very limited Indian food available and the quality of the same was below average. The Only Vegetarian option available at the buffet for lunch was Veg Fried Rice and Noodles and we pretty much survived on these for the entire week during lunch.

Truffles The Main Dining Hall - The staff assigned to our table were trainees apart from the head waiter. The trainee waiter was very courteous and tried to help us, however the attitude of the main waiter was really bad. Never in the 7 days we had seen him smile or welcome us at the table. This gentleman lacked the basic courtesy to even check if we were in the process of finishing our meal. He would simply come and pickup the dishes assuming that we were done. We made a few minor requests for Indian food which were denied by the Maitre D. Finally I had to go to the Maitre D and ask if they can give us atleast a vegetarian soup which they did. We had requested for Indian bread (Roti) and they could have easily given us the Tortias that were in abundance on board the cruise ship, however the Maitre D denied that. Later on we came to know through another Indian family that they were given the same on request.

Cabin Review

Cabins were ok. I would compare the cleanliness with Days In or Super 8 Motel. Not sur if all Carnival line ships are this way, but certainly ours was. A big turnoff for first timers.
