The biggest problem was the weather, and Carnival can't control that, but the attitude of most of the staff was TERRIBLE. Their preferred answer was "NO" to every request - even for the "free" champagne on New Year's Eve!!
Service in the dining room, at the brunch and at dinner was sub-par. Slow, slow, slow, exasperatingly SLOW. The brunch servers just mostly ignored our table and when one of us went over and got a pot of coffee to refill cups long left empty, the staff thought that was the greatest joke ever!! And continued to not refill coffee, but only left empty carafes around. Mishandled orders (one omelet had to be made THREE times before it was correct.) Juices were FINALLY served after everyone had finished their meals.
Dinner was so slow that adjoining tables were eating their main course before we were even served our starters. We were consistently the LAST table to leave the dining room, and not from lingering! A request to change tables was simply ignored, after assurances were given that it would happen "tomorrow".
This is the smallest possible room. Don't book it unless you want twin beds because when made into a "King" the bed is shoved against the wall, meaning the inside person has to either crawl to the bottom of the bed to get in and out or crawl over their bedmate.
