My husband and I have done a lot of traveling with his job ( Holiday Inn Corp ) but this was our first time in an interior room. We picked a cabin on the Riveria Deck Aft and it was a perfect selection. The cabin was nice, roomy closet space and lots of mirrors to make it feel bigger. We did miss being able to see what the weather was, but since we were so close to an outside door ( about 10 steps ) it was easy to put on a cover-up and step out and check the weather. The aft pool is adults only and has tables outside from the Cafe' Caribe that is one level up so it was a great place to sit in the morning with a cup of coffe and the Princess Patter and plan the day. The cabin was nice and quite and we only heard chairs being moved around upstairs around 6 a.m. once or twice, but not for a long time , so it was easy to go right back to sleep.
We selected the traditional dining and were assigned the Palm Dining Room and a table for 2 at the late seating. It was perfect. We could interact with the couples on either side of us ( also at tables for two ) when we wanted to but didn't feel we had to tell anyone if our plans changed and we didn't want to eat in the Palm. We think this is the perfect way to go because if you don't want to dress up for the formal nights you don't have to. We did experience a bit of worry when we noticed at a table for 6, close to us, a woman all alone. On the first night there were people there but after that she sat alone every night. I finally went over and talked to her (she was traveling with her sister, who, doesn't eat dinner) but the staff let her sit alone every night. We felt that the Maitre d' could have done something to change the situation. After eating in the Palm we think people who pay extra to eat at the othe resturants are just wasting money because the food was great every night. Our waiter couldn't have been better and we certainly enjoyed his recomendations.
This turned out to be a delightful get-a-way before the rush of Christmas Holidays
