This is on top of extortionate prices for drinks - 20.00 euros for a white table wine, plus 15% plus daily 'service charge', or 43.48 euros for a nice-ish white chardonnay, plus 15% plus daily 'service charge'. Because of the size of the liner, only the largest commercial ports are available, therefore the romance of the mediterranean is spoilt by hundreds of containers, container ships, naval shipping. A courtesy bus is usually on hand to take you into town which is a big positive, except in Marseille where the bus is charged for, as the journey is 15 minutes to the tourist area, which is the only part of Marseille worth seeing.
