Great Holiday Cruise on the Reflection!

Sail Date: December 2013
Destination: Eastern Caribbean
Embarkation: Miami

We had a wonderful time on our second Celebrity Cruise this year.

Here are a few observations...

Embarkation was a breeze, and our stateroom was ready as soon as we got on board (around 1PM).

We book Aqua Class because we love Blu and the Aqua Spa. The Persian Garden and Relaxation Room on the Reflection is beautiful. Our stateroom was roomy (#1646) and better laid out than our stateroom on the Summit in July. There is tons of storage space!

We love the smoking policy onboard (it is very restrictive and people can't smoke inside or on stateroom balconies).

Food was exceptional as always. Service was great in all areas of the ship (except Alcove - see below). Celebrity really makes an effort to provide exceptional service.

The entertainment was great. We really enjoyed the jazz quartet in the Ensemble Lounge.

The Molecular Bar is a must try!!

As we had an early flight out of Miami (11 AM), we opted More for a "self-assist" disembarkation. Even with an hour delay in arriving in Miami (had to stop in Bahamas for a medical emergency) we were through customs and on our way to the airport by 8:45 AM.

Cons (only a few):

We wish they didn't change the dining times for breakfast in Blu on port days.

You now have to indicate on a form that you wish to have the afternoon canapés delivered. One day we didn't receive a form, and we figured they would still deliver them since we had them every other day - but they didn't.

There were more children on board than usual being a Christmas cruise, but we were able to escape the screaming and running wild children most times.

We booked a private Alcove on a sea day - this was really a waste of money as many of the promised services were not offered (iPad, food menus, etc.).

Our port day in St. Maarten was on December 25th - everything in town was closed and this was not mentioned onboard to passengers.

Overall we had a wonderful cruise and we booked our next Celebrity Cruise on board. They offer some great incentives when booking on board…too good to pass up! We will be setting sail again on the Reflection from Rome in July - can't wait! Less

Cabin review: Celebrity Reflection

Great stateroom. Very roomy. Lots of storage. Very quiet. A little far from the Aqua Spa.
