We have sailed Celebrity several times but this was our first S Class ship.
Embarkation was a little odd. We have only embarked in Miami once many years ago but as we arrived at almost 11 am there were still people disembarking. There were buses loading passengers and it was not immediately apparent as to where to drop our luggage. The taxi dropped us off at one end and we walked almost the whole length of the passenger area before finding someone to take our luggage. It seemed a little chaotic. There seemed to be many people milling around but we were directed right up to the counter and checked in. The counter clerk (Port employee, not a Celebrity employee) indicated that we had the Classic Beverage package and not the Premium package to which we had upgraded. She told us to go to guest relations once we boarded as there was nothing she could do. We were then told to wait in a separate area for Concierge class guests. We were held there for nearly 45 minutes before being allowed to board around noon (others said they walked right on board). The line to board was very long as there was only one scanner working and then pictures and cards were out of sync and it took some time to straighten the problem out.
Once on board we went to guest relations and there was nothing wrong with our beverage package, the counter clerk was wrong. Whew! We stopped at the entrance to the buffet to purchase the Riedel wine experience and then up to the Porch for lunch. They were missing several ingredients (seemed to be a common theme throughout the week) but we ordered something that appealed to both of us along with some wine and enjoyed nice lunch and some wonderful cupcakes for dessert. We then took off to explore the ship. It was only a short while before they announced the cabins ready. Our luggage took until almost 11pm to all arrive. The captain and others made several announcements that luggage was delayed getting to the cabins. It all finally arrived and in good shape. No problems but seemed to be a leftover of our chaotic embarkation.
Great cabin on the hump with extended veranda. Two reclining chairs with foot stool and table. Very quiet cabin as we did not hear our neighbors and was far enough from the atrium that there was no noise from the entertainment there.
