Had a great experience on the Explorer. Food was outstanding. Service level was terrific. Cabin was lovely. We had a balcony on deck 8. Plenty of room and storage. Would recommend this ship to anyone.

A couple of downsides:

We did the 7 night Bahamas cruise from Bayonne. While the port was very convenient for us being from Central NJ, the ports schedule left much to be desired. We didn't arrive to our first port (Canaveral) until 2:00 on day 3. Given the 5pm sunset, didn't leave many options given our lack of interest in theme parks. Same timing for Nassau, the 2nd port. Not enough daylight to enjoy the beach. We we're lucky that the weather cooperated for our last port, the cruise line's private island, Coco Cay, which was absolutely great. We we're told that the wind conditions didn't allow any other ships to visit Coco Cay this week.

Cabin Review

Great size, very functional...plenty of space.
