Ship Facts: Carnival Victory Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Carnival Victory Deck Plans
carnival drop standards

We just Got back from Miami doing Victory back to back cruises {key West ,Cozumel back to Miami then Nassau, half moon cay and Grand Turk} The last time we do carnival.

We had cruised on Destiny from Barbados 2009 our only disappointment the dress code , so we knew Victory was an older ship and had a strange layout.

The ship was in good condition and well kept but you can see it needs a makeover if you look closely we were told the makeover has no been cancelled from march 2014 and put back to 2015

.We had a balcony cabin on deck 9 which was kept clean by our sate room attendant never had a problem all of the staff were very good the girls in the atrium bar Martina and Roma who kept us topped up with drinks for 9 nights were more like friends by the time we left and Steve was great entertainment with his guitar seems he can play and sing most music.

On our 1st trip we ate in the Atlantic dinning room at 8.15 our waiter Benjhamin and his team were very good and if we saw him anywhere else on board would always stop for a chat throughout both cruises , on our 2nd trip we ate in the Pacific dinning room our waiter Donovan and his team we also very good he was always on the podium dancing at the end of dinner

The food was always good, for the most very good but more choice for dessert would have been nice.

We were not impressed with the food in the buffet below average and poor compared to RCI, Celebrity and P and O, not enough food stations and not enough variety,

But the big problem is again the dress code Carnival say T-shirts, Shorts, Trainers, Vests, Baseball Caps Flip Flops, Hoodies Sports Tops are not allowed in main dinning room ,we saw all of these sorry lots of these every night including Xmas Night which was gala night ,Its about time they and any other company made a stand and turned people away to the buffet or to get dressed properly, guess carnival don't want to upset the American market who pay $200 for a cruise ,I guess this is why they pulling out of the uk

Our stops

Key west hired an electric car ( Golf Buggy) really enjoyed it we were picked up and dropped off at the ship tommy who picked us up was one cool dude {sunshine Scooters}

Cozumel went san fran beach club

our day back in MIAMI seaquarium great day out if you get time Dolphine, orca and sea lion shows and a flipper show

Nassau went to Melia hotel had a day pass

Half Moon Cay is just the best sand beach we have ever been on fantastic well done carnival

Grand Turk Another really good beach day
