I've cruised with Carnival a few times before and found this trip to be a similar experience as previous trips.

We left out of Galveston and headed to Key West. While in Key West, we rented bikes and toured the island. The weather was amazing and bicycling was easier than I first thought it would be. Lunch at a hole in the wall called Moe's was delicious. We were the only ones in the place and the snapper sandwich was fantastic.

Back on ship we discovered the Bahama's destination was changed due to inclement weather. We just go with the flow and just enjoy cruising so this wasn't a huge upset. The ship was very clean and the staff did a great job of maintaining the cleanliness throughout the entire trip. The food was adequate, nothing exceptional, always room for improvement in this department. I used they fitness center on a sea day and was there by 7:30am and the place was crowded. Every machine was taken and it took about 30 minutes for a treadmill or bicycle to become available.

Cabin Review

Our cabin was always clean and tidy. The bed was quite uncomfortable, a bit too hard for my preference. The linens were fresh and clean. The room did not seem to get as cool as we like but was still ok. The closet with the life jackets smelled horribly. I hesitated to store anything in that closet for fear that the odor would follow us home. For the most part I was satisfied with our room.
