Costa gone WRONG!
Destination: Eastern Caribbean
Embarkation- We waited at least two hours in order to begin embarkation. There was no information given to us on when embarkation would begin. On the positive side, they had complimentary refreshments to the guests waiting. Although when it did begin, the workers made it run very smoothly and we were on the ship within a matter of 20 minutes after the embarkation process had begun for everyone.
Safety Briefing: took forever and the staff was very rude. It was in five languages and they had to repeat how to put on the life vest for each individual language.
Cabins- The sheets in the cabins were not changed at all over the 10 days. Ice was not More given to us at all. I had filled up the ice barrels from the Lido deck. There was no shampoo or lotions provided, and soap was only provided one time for the entire voyage. We had to ask for more soap and toilet paper.
Customer/Guest Service- The employees were very ignorant about the ports. The line was always very long. We found a wallet that we brought down to the customer service, and we had to wait on line, and we were asked many questions. The next day, we were asked to come down for further questions and had to wait on line AGAIN, which was very uncalled for.
Dining- Juices were served only for breakfast, otherwise, there was a selection between Iced Tea and water.
BREAKFAST: On the lido: The guy at the omelette station was lazy and was sending people to the wrong stations so he could do less work.
In the dining room: Was a buffet breakfast
LUNCH: Awful menu and limited hours.
DINNER: Very bad food. The soups were similar to water. Caesar salad is not on the menu and when requested, it was not the Caesar salad that we know. No coffee or tea after dinner. The desserts were good.
ROOM SERVICE: was available for unacceptable fees
Entertainment- It was good overall. However, on the first couple of days, they put up SHOWS OF SHOWS.
Photography- We purchased photos from Costa Club cocktail party, where the captain was not there when taking the picture, but was cropped in anyways. Why did we have to purchase photos and have the captain forced into the picture?
Disembarkation: We did the zone disembarkation which took FOREVER. Primarily because the ship was full of Europeans which made the process much longer.
We heard that the reason that there were many Europeans was because they were given a much lower rate for the adults and bringing the kids for FREE. The smoking policy on board was enforced very poorly. Europeans are the absolute worst to travel with. They lack very basic manners and they are very aggressive.
