Ship Facts: Costa Deliziosa Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Costa Deliziosa Deck Plans
Ensure it meets your needs

We drove down to Savona from Austria the day before the departure and stayed at the highly recommended Motel Miro that more than served our needs - free safe parking, good dinner and breakfast

Sadly we were involved in the non democratic, (I am an EU citizen and also have rights) dumb, futile demonstration that kept us trapped in our car for 5.5 hours. Good for Italian tourism and the economy

Embarkation was the usual confusing Costa story - when will they when will they improve the system to prevent the pushing and shoving?

The ship is very well presented - interesting decor, clean and neatly laid out

The passengers generally seemed happy while getting involved with the noisy daytime on board activities

We had previously visited most ports before so we did our own visits except for Valencia where we used the Shuttle bus

We choose not to spend much time in the cabin and had no problem with the quality, cleanliness and our cabin attendant was very pleasant - the only problem with cabin 7256 is that it is next to a service centre and the staff ensured we needed no wake up call

The food and selection was more than adequate, but was never served hot in the main dining room The meat dishes were not always good but alternatives were available

The 25 - 35 children seemed to be having lots of fun and were always on the go, Their ship's tours were pretty loud

There is no Solarium area that provide any solitude

Entertainment in the theatre was exceptionally good and was as good as or better than most on land shows

In the bars and lounges around the ship the entertainers were also very good

Disembarkation was also a pretty boring. drawn out affair but the luggage delivery for self drive passengers was tops

The Costa smoking policy needs reviewing. as smoking in the Dining and Fitness areas was unpleasant and having children subjected to smoke and allowing them in the Casino is really a theme from yesterday

The cruise and port itinerary was great for a winter cruise, a full day in Barcelona was the only shortcoming

For us the it was really enjoyable and very good value for money
