The crew on the Sensation were all very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our cruise experience on the Sensation and the friendly crew members really made us feel welcome and valued as a customer.
We had a wonderful room steward that was welcoming and always friendly and helpful. After only meeting us once, he called my husband and I by name everytime he saw us on the ship. I was impressed that with all those passengers, he remembered our names and faces after one introduction and recognized us on sight away from our cabin.
The Sensation is a little smaller than some of the other Carnival ships and it is a bit dated as it's not been upgraded in a while. But we still enjoyed our cruise experience on the Sensation and had no problems.
The cabin was clean and in good working order. We had no complaints. We had a wonderful room steward that was welcoming and always friendly and helpful. After only meeting us once, he called my husband and I by name everytime he saw us on the ship. I was impressed that with all those passengers, he remembered our names and faces after one introduction and recognized us on sight away from our cabin. We have also sailed on the Carnival Destiny and there were noticable differences in the two. I was a bit disappointed because our cabin on the Sensation was much smaller than the Destiny. Due to the smaller size, there were not many dresser drawers/cabinets and only one outlet. The seating was a single straight backed chair (The Destiny had a loveseat and small table and lots more drawers/cabinets). There was no hairdryer in the bathroom. However, we still had sufficient space for all our stuff on the Sensation. If I had paid more attention to the differences in the two ships when I booked this cruise, I wouldn't have been so surprised. I mistakenly thought all Carnival ships were about the same.
