Ship Facts: Liberty of the Seas Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Liberty of the Seas Deck Plans
a wonderful crossing with a lot of friends

It was our first cruise on the Liberty of the Seas. Many people of a german cruise board where here and we met many of them for the first time. We travelled with a small group of 7 cruisers, all of us experienced cruisers on several cruise lines.

We had different cabin types, we had an inside, our friends had balcony cabins. We all were absolutely satisfied. Okay the cabin was a little bit smaller than on some other ships we travelled with, but it was enough space for us. We had a cabin not too far away from the elevators, because we knew, that it is a ship with long ways to go.

Every morning started in the gym, than in the special whirlpool. After taking a shower we had breakfast in Windjammer or if we wanted Eggs Benedict we were in the diningroom, because they were not available in Windjammer. So we changed every day. Service in the dining room in the morning was not the best. Sometimes we had to wait about 30 minutes for our Eggs Benedict, too long. And you had to ask for everything extra, like orange juice, glas of milk, german bread. You also had the chance to walk to a small buffet to help yourself. But the choice was not so great.

For lunch we also changed between Windjammer and diningroom.

For dinner we had reserved a table for 7 and except one evening, we´ve got it every night and had excellent service. The food was better than expected from reading some reviews, were people were writing about the food quality going down. I cannot agree. The food was good and we also got some extra things every evening for our table, like an extra plate of vegetables, cheese or more.

We visited some shows on the ship, but that is a question of taste. I did not like the iceshow, the classical music was not my style. We did not like Saturday Night Fever, because the spoken parts were too foolish. We left the show after 20 minutes. But we loved the acrobatic show "Air", one of the best we had ever seen on a cruiseship.

During the long seadays we watched the people surfing and climbing the walls, we spend a lot of time on the boatdeck, reading a lot and talking to old and new friends.

The lounge for diamond members was too small, because we had more than 600 diamond and diamond plus members onboard. It was hard work, to get a drink.

On St. Maarten, Puerto Rico and Nassau we made trips on our own, because we have been there several times.

Overall, it was a wonderful cruise, we like the sea days to have enough time for yourself.
