Sail Date: Dec 2013

My husband and I decided to take our grown children (with one spouse) on a Christmas cruise. We set sail December 16th. We are veteran cruisers, mostly RC, but we have cruised with Holland and Carnival (just once!). We had a marvelous time.

We loved the size of the ship. We have sailed on the larger ships, but this was a favorite. Our children, ages 23 and 29/30, took advantage of the rope climbing, workout equipment, and trampoline. Their favorite was the Karaoke each night!

As is our usual, we got there in time for boarding at 11:00 and spent the afternoon by the pool until our cabins were ready. The younger daughter was in the cabin with us. I was pleasantly surprised when my husband and I had a bed, and her bed was pulled down each evening. I had expected 3 bunks! The cabins were as expected. It was nice to have a door on our shower. I noticed that our daughter and her husband only had a shower curtain. They were in an inside cabin but that was about the only difference I detected. We did not have hot water the second night, and the other cabin had none the third night. I suspect this was only because everyone else was showering at the same time. Predictable.

Cabin Review

Oceanview room. Nice layout, tight with 3 people as expected. Very quiet. One bed dropped down at night. Shower had door instead of shower curtain.
