Let me first state that even if on a bad ship, life is definitely good if you are on a cruise.
I had been looking forward to our 11 night southern Caribbean Legend sailing since we booked 11 months out. We had 3 cabins; JS 8580, E2 6106 and J (superior) Inside 8579. We are Crown and Anchor D+, cruising for years. The average age for those sailing on this particular cruise seemed older than I am use to seeing on Royal Ships and most music venues/trivias, etc seemed gear for them. Very few children were on board, although the last day disembarkation I ran in to 8 rowdy teens in the WJ, I hadn ‘t seen nor heard them the 11 days on board. Go figure.
Check in was a delight thru the suite doors and embarkation quickly. We had received notice to show up two hours later than normal since they were disinfecting the noro virus ship. We arrived around 1:30, and boarding started shortly after that, rooms were supposed to be ready by 2, however, deck 8 did not allow up aft until about 3ish.
Corner Aft - does not wrap around but nice size balcony; came with two loungers, one chair and one table. Air conditioner so loud, it was difficult to sleep. Flat screen TV, Coffee maker; and refrigerator that actually kept things cold. Shower/Tub combo. Robes. No walk in closet and we felt was pretty small. low beds, luggage did not fit under beds. Never sailed JS in this class, so we were expecting a bigger cabin that we experienced on other ship classes. Sticky substance on floor if beds separated. Plus - secret staircase from Deck 8 to Deck 9 thru spa to the Solarium and Park Café.
