I have waited to write a review to give RCL time to respond to my 14 page comment card, but since they have not shown any interest in addressing the issues, I will post a limited review on here. I would agree with other reviews that pointed out issues on this cruise, primarily with the service level and the lack of customer service shown by many of the crew.

The San Diego embarkation was the worst I've ever encountered. Yes I know that these are not actually RCL staff, but they are working for RCL. It started with being told as a Diamond C&A that I could not enter the priority line, which was marked only Diamond Plus but there was no other priority line (not even for Pinnacle). The lady there yelled at me and told me to go to general check in. I ignored her (not my usual way of responding, I don't believe in throwing my C&A level around, but she really annoyed me).

Once I got to a check in station, things went further downhill. My passport wouldn't scan, so the rep yells down to a supervisor that she has a "fake passport", that made me feel great. He got it to scan. Then I waited 25 minutes for my Sea Pass card (which did not work for my cabin once I got to it, had to go up to guest services). Then they were handing out boarding group numbers, instead of the usual method of Pinnacle, Suites, Diamond Plus etc. There was no logic to order. A lady next to me, with a gold sea pass showing Pinnacle was given group 21, she threw a fit until they gave her a number 1 group. Our group of 10 had numbers from 3 to 30, we ignored them and went on as a group (again not our usual way of acting). And all of this was while the chaos of the turned away passengers was going on behind a screened in area.

Cabin Review

nice room, large window, tight on storage, dreaded cloth shower curtain, can use any mag strip card for safe (AARP, library card etc)
