My husband and I have been on 20 or so cruises on several different cruise lines. The Reflection is a beautiful ship. We booked a suite and the room was amazing. We didn't even use all of the drawers in the room. This was the first time to have a room at the back of the ship. It was a great view but it was always a long walk to get to your room. The staff on the ship were very nice and always greeted us but really didn't go out of the way to make the voyage special. We never had ice in the evenings, no cute towel animals, or any extras. We should have been offered the pillow menu and we were not, unpacking and packing was to be a service offered with a suite, this never happened. I think the butler was to help with reservations but we only saw him 3 times during the week so we made our own reservations.

The days of the nickel and dime cruise are here, but this is the past of most lines. The only place to eat for free was the buffet, the dinning room, or the outdoor hamburg and hot dogs. All other facilities added a fee. We rented an alcove for the day, which could have been a great idea, but the service did not match up. We wet to the alcove in the morning and were told we had the alcove but should have ordered our picnic basket 24 hours in advance (of course with the additional fee). We could order from the Porch, with the additional fee. We were supposed to have a blanket for the grass which never happened, as well as use of an iPad for the day, again which never happened. Service was hard to get. I even went and got our own drinks at one point. It was nice to have a quite reserved space for the day, but they fell short of what was advertised.

This biggest problem with the cruise was the web site. Shortly after booking I could no longer get on the site. I could not check in or book services. I had to call to accomplish this and the first call was not a long wait but the second time I had to call it took over 30 minutes to get a person to help. We flew in the day of the cruise which I would not recommend, but when we got to the pier check in was a mess. They were already packing up for the day so it was not a good experience. Debarkation had no direction. They do not make announcements so be on your game or you will miss. They need staff to direct the lines. I witnessed a few cross words with people when the lines were merging. This was our 6th cruise with Celebrity and could be our last. I am sad that such an amazing vessel is being so badly represented.

Cabin Review

The room was amazing. You do not really get any perks of being in a suite except the great size of the room and a wonderful view.
