This was our second cruise and second carnival cruise, and it will be our last.

First, the basics. This is an old ship, very old and under a thin vanieer it shows. Even having undergone a major refit the ship is in poor repair: buckets everywhere for leeks, many decks smell bad, paint peeling in many places. The ship has far too many guests for the space it has, I was told the ship was only 75% full but everything is cramped and long lines for everything. There are other issues with the ship but this should give you an idea.

Now for our major complaint, the crew was sick. Many shipmates complained the the crew was rude or unfriendly, well when we boarded the ship had an active flu and strep outbreak whick would explain the unfriendly staff. The criuse director was obviously sick when we boarded as she had lost her voice, after we became ill midway through the cruies a crew member confided that most crew were sick as well. This was bad and essentially ruined our vacation. The best part though is how apathetic the staff was to our concern, we went to the medical bay and each paid about $200 for "treatment" and were prescribed antibiotics but were literally laughed at several times.
