First of all the ads make you think this ship is going to have the NYC feel, so we expected the ships decor to have that NY atmosphere. Needless to say it did not.

Most of the crew members were very accommodating. However, we felt that too many of them were not knowledgeable enough of the ships rules and activities. For instance, we were preparing to disembark in Stirrup Cay. After being told that we needed to make an appointment to board the tender at the box office near the theater, we went to make the appointment. Once at the box office, we were told as silver members we didn't need an appointment. We told the crew member what we were told & that we didn't want to get to the tender & be rejected so, to make sure, we went back to the service desk that initially sent us there. The supervisor there said, whoever informed us that no appointment was needed was wrong & asked us to take him to that person. This caused a dispute between the two crew members as to whose right & whose wrong. This is just one example of many showing the right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing.

There seemed to be the worst activities on this ship, compared to other NCL ships. Oh boy, dress up night which is also lobster night was the worst! The only eatery that lobster was served in was the buffet. Who gets dressed up to eat in the buffet? Not to mention, trying to feed approximately 4500 people in this one location. Needless to say, this provoked mayhem, extremely long lines, impatient people, arguments & fights due to people jumping line & lack of seating. With all of this going on add insult to injury, they closed one side of the buffet down which made the lines even longer and no lobster at all for those who came late. When we asked the person in charge of the buffet why this were handled in this manner, her reply was they only have one kitchen to cook for all the restaurants . How ridiculous is this when there were 4 other complimentary restaurants on this ship? Fights even broke out during the jewelry sale.
