ABOUT US: We are a married couple in our mid-20's, traveling with a large group of extended family. My husband has been on multiple cruises on both Princess and Royal Caribbean. This was my first Princess cruise, but I have been on five cruises with RCI.

EMBARKATION: We booked our ship transfers through Princess, and we were very impressed with the efficiency of the transfer process. We retrieved our luggage, then almost immediately boarded a bus and headed to the pier. We arrived in the late afternoon in San Juan, so there was no waiting at the port. It only took a couple of minutes, and we were on the ship!

THE SHIP: Crown Princess is huge! There are four pools on the main deck, which we loved. One is the main pool-game type pool, one is the Movies Under the Stars pool, one is the adults-only spa pool that has a swim-against-the current feature for laps, and one is a small, adults-only pool all the way aft. Because there were so many areas for passengers to go, we never had any problem getting a lounge chair anywhere we wanted to be. The swim-against-the-current feature of the spa pool is really cool for anyone who enjoys lap-swimming. I want one at my house!
