Almost perfect

Sail Date: November 2013
Destination: Australia & New Zealand
Embarkation: Sydney (Australia)

We joined the Solstice at Sydney after a 7 1/2hour flight delay from Dubai. The airline couldn't help the delay ,which was caused by technical problems but their treatment of the passengers left a lot to be desired and needless to say we will not use them again.

We had sailed with Celebrity before and been very pleased with them but this ship was more impressive than the last one.As a previous review has stated, the best thing about this ship is it's staff - very friendly and very helpful. We did have a plumbing problem when we got to our cabin but the customer services apologised and made sure that it was fixed quickly and then kept checking with us to make sure we were satisfied. This attention to detail is what makes a cruise and they have certainly got things right on the Solstice.

We thought that the entertainment was excellent and the food in every restaurant was superb (especially in the main restaurant). The only dissapointment was when we tried one of the More speciality restaurants (the Murano),where we thought that the choice of menu was poor, and that the food was not as good as in the Grand epernay (main dining room) .

We enjoyed the cruise very much and look forward to sailing with Celebrity again in the near future. Less

Cabin review: Celebrity Solstice Oceanview Stateroom Sunrise Deck (7) 1130

Our cabin was one of the best that we have come across (although they may want to re-think the wardrobe arrangement as neither of the doors open far enough to gain easy access to your clothes)Bathroom was modern and spacious, with glass sliding doors to the shower.
