We had a very good holiday. Firstly we had 5 nights in a hotel in Malaga (which was very good) The food was ok with plenty of variety. We were fully inclusive, so had a few drinks on an evening.
We joined the cruise in Malaga on the 29th November (not Barcelona) it was a bit different from a normal cruise as we joined on day 8 and had the last night of entertainment and meeting all the officers and staff. Then when we reached Barcelona we then started on day one. It was a bit confusing.
The cabin was small but it was clean and had everything we needed. The cabin boy was very good,
Went to the meet and mingle and met some very nice people. Kathy who was the organizer offered to show us her penthouse cabin. Wish I had not as we were very jealous it was lovely. Very spacious and elegant.
I must say the entertainment officer was very good he was everywhere (not like other ships we have cruised with). As for the entertainment some of the shows were very good but had lots of repeats.
We felt there could have been more sporting activities. Too many quizzes.
Dining was a bit dissapointing, we felt the service was slow in the main dining room and the food was often cold. Had to send the soup back twice. The jacket potatoes were slightly warm.
Disembarkation was great (best we have had) but there again we disembarked in Malaga not Barcelona so there were not so many passengers.
All in all we enjoined the cruise and would cruise again on the NCL Spirit.
