Well, our second Cunard cruise and our second cruise. Not at all disappointed. We booked a Gateaway Deal and were very relieved NOT to get an obstructed view, all in all a very nice cabin on deck 8.This cabin 8049 is situated under the towel bar area for the midship pool.A little noise from above on a nice morning when the loungers are being put out,but may be we noticed it more because we are not very early risers!

The black out curtains don't help nor does the incredibly comfortable bed. This cabin is a corridor walk and one flight of stairs away from the Lido buffet.

The Lido food although very good does remind us of a BHS self serve cafe. Its horrible having to find a table with a tray full of food and drink, very difficult for some people, Gssss some of them take for ever to find a tea bag and even longer to dunk it!!! There is no shortage of staff in this restaurant and no reason why they cant help with finding the elderly or the less fit a table and taking their tray.

Cabin Review

This cabin is on deck 8 one floor below the Lido, Spa and pool area. It has unobstructed views.Good size balcony,The best bed we have ever slept in (other than QE) which must be the same, SEALY I believe. Wardrobe space was fine for us, two large draws under the bed and still room for 2 cases.Under went in the cupboard. Bathrooms as you would expect are "compact" one doesn't lounge in the shower here not at over 6ft.Plenty of hangers.Power sockets only at the dressing table/desk/flat surface. We would have this cabin again.
