Sail Date: Nov 2013
Traveled with children

We are a young couple (mid-20s & early 30s) from NJ, I have been on 2 cruises & this would be a first time cruise for my boyfriend. We were also traveling with a couple & their son (who have been on well over 15 cruises). We are all very laid back people just looking to relax on this vacation, but this cruise was AWFUL! I feel like i didn't even get a vacation.

Our sail date was November 3rd, 2013. We went to the Manhattan Terminal to get on the ship and went through security and the check-in line. Once through the check-in process we were handed numbers to board the ship. All chaos broke out, with heards of people everywhere deciding to board and not listen to the number system. The Norwegian Staff members were nothing but rude and aggravated because there was no order and no way of controlling the amount of people trying to board the ship all at one time. So while we waited to be boarded, people were cutting the line left and right and nobody was stopping this. It was very disorganized. Once on the ship, We were directed to the buffet where again, MASS CHAOS! people were everywhere and there was absolutely no seating. When asking a waiter if he could help us find a seat his reply was "Look around" and walked away from us. After 10 minutes of nowhere to sit, I literally was standing up in the middle of the hallway (being pushed & shoved) while eating food (with chopsticks non the less because I could not find a fork) This was definitely not how i imagined my vacation (& my boyfriends first cruise) to start.

Later on, we went to our stateroom. My luggage arrived around 2:00pm. His however did not show up til well after 7:00pm. For being on the same cart at the port, I find this irritating how it took so very long to get his luggage much later on in the night.
