Good Times again on Carnival Freedom
Destination: Western Caribbean
Embarkation: Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)
We have just returned from the December 9, 2013 sailing on the Carnival Freedom.
This was our first time as Platinum guests, the best perk was that we did not have any long lines to wait for security or check in.
We drove to the port and parked at Park N Go and were shuttled to the pier, the VIP security and check in took aprox. ten minutes and we were on the ship by Noon.
Our cabin was ready when we arrived and we changed into our swimwear and headed to the buffet.
The lunch buffets were very good and the lines at them were always very short.
We had sit down breakfast in the Posh restaurant every morning, we really liked the Sea Day Brunch they offer on sea days.
We had the early seating dinner at the Posh restaurant, the service was excellent and the food was delicious.
We enjoyed the Comedy Club, the comedians interacted with the audience at all four shows that we attended.
We sat on the deck chairs in the More afternoons and enjoyed the breeze as we sailed to Cayman and Cozumel.
We have been to both ports many times so we just stayed on the ship at each port.
Disembarkation was smooth, we utilized the self assist option. We left the ship at 8:30 AM and the entire process took less than thirty minutes.
We walked out and across to the shuttle pick up area and were taken back to our car at Park N Go.
This was our sixth sailing on the Freedom, we like this ship and we like sailing out of Ft. Lauderdale.
We have already booked on the Freedom again for a 2014 sailing.
We would recommend the Carnival Freedom to anyone looking for a good time at an affordable price. Less
