Having just returned from a 7 night cruise on the beautiful MSC Divina, sailing 30th November to Western Caribbean, we feel we must address some of the, in our opinion, totally unjust comments already posted by our neighbours stateside
The star of the cruise was indeed the ship itself. Everywhere gleamed and staff were constantly visible polishing and keeping it looking immaculate. The Golden Jazz bar was a particular favourite. We were lucky enough to have a balcony cabin ( on the twelfth floor). It was well appointed with a lovely large, soft double bed although we do agree that the TV channel choices were limited. Despite its position on the ship the cabin was very stable with little to no movement felt. All aspects of the ship did not disappoint us - open public areas, the pool decks, excellent gym and spa facilities, large theatre and bright dining rooms,
As brits we do not expect a waiter constantly "shadowing" us !! indeed some may find this intrusive. We never encountered any rude staff, although we did sometimes find the bar service during the day a liitle slow. Our cabin steward was particularly pleasant and always had a smile and a word for us if we met ( and not because we had constantly tipped him)
