This was our first adventure on a Celebrity ship, having previously always been faithful to one of their competitors- Princess.

We found the Eclipse to be an very modern ship with the interior decor being especially engaging. The artwork one would encounter in the stairwells - yes we took the stairs a lot - both much quicker than waiting for a lift and better for the legs ladies - was particularly mesmerising e. g a glass box filled with multicoloured knitted balloons just waiting for some athlete to attempt the inflation process. The latter installation reminded me of a quirky emergency facility - only break glass and inflate in emergency situations! Other enchanting inclusions - the lawn club, the glass blowing shows, admiring the skills of the bartenders in the Molecular cocktail bar, the Ice bar with real ice counter tops etc etc

Our balcony cabin was very comfortable and offered plenty of storage space -the over the bed aircraft style lockers were a bonus . We had some issues with the TV volume controls part way through the cruise but the whole TV was replaced within an hour or so - no problem. Great cabin stewards - both cheerful and helpful.
