We recently took the 4 night cruise on the Inspiration out of Long Beach. This was our 8th on 5 different lines and our 2nd on Carnival. We were disappointed because it could have been good, they were just not trying.

The food was ok, the cabin clean, the staff friendly and the facilities adequate. Beyond that, there was not much more. The entertainment was primarily audience participation. The only full stage show we attended was a let down as the music was recorded and the voices and choreography off. The activities during the day were lacking. The “adult only” areas often had children in them. Things were just disorganized and lackluster.

I think that Carnival hires the people that other lines will not because of poor language skills. There were a couple of meals messed up because of waiters not understanding our requests.

Any day on a cruise is better than a day at work, but with a little effort, those 5 days could have been so much better. Less
