If you enjoy NCL's freestyle cruising you'll be fine. If you don't (like me) there are several policies that will really bother you. The fact that they don't have assigned seating or dining times. They say you have choices but that's not one of them. You have to make reservations for dining rooms. It appears that they really want you to eat in the restaurants that charge since there are more of them than the ones that don't charge a fee. Of course you can always eat at the buffet.

Secondly, they don't have a coin operated laundry. The only choice is to pay them for each item you send to the laundry. Or hand wash in your bathroom. Or as we saw on one balcony a line of clothes drying..How tacky!! Some choice!

It appears most of this freestyle is designed to make you spend more money. Even though most of the crew was great. A couple of the people at the customer service counter had an attitude but otherwise everyone else was absolutely wonderful. Our steward was really super. The room was fine and the bathroom was a little bigger than we expected. We liked our ship (except it appears that they didn't finish painting our balcony) and the itinerary but because of NCL's policy we won't ever go on another one of their ships. We will go on other cruise lines that don't have that freestyle unless it is modified and they really offer the choice to be traditional as well.
