I had always promised my wife, a big Disney fan, that if Disney ever offered a deal we would go. Well recently they did offer some Florida resident rates that were pretty attractive so we booked a balcony and headed off on a 4 day cruise to Nassau and the Castaway Cey. Since we live in Florida it was a big plus that they cruise left from Port Canaveral, one of our favorites and only an hour and half from home. We drove over and parked at the Raddison Cruise parking and were soon on a bus to the ship. This is a great place to park if you are sailing from Canaveral.

Since there had been a problem with the draw bridge, embarkation was a bit backed up to get through security, but once in the terminal the lines moved quickly. We were told that we could get on the ship, but that rooms would not be ready until 1:30pm. We got on and went to the Enchanted Garden for lunch. This was not as crowded as the buffet upstairs. Lunch was very good and then we headed up to our room. We got our first lesson in Disney. When they say rooms will not be ready until 1:30 pm, they mean it. The halls were closed and you could not get to your room until 1:30 pm.! Things run on time.

Our room was a balcony room and was quite large and very modern. The bath room was split and had a sink and toilet in one room and a tub and sink in another, There was a queen size bed and a long couch and plenty of storage. The balcony was nice and had a child lock up high.

Cabin Review
