Embarkation was well organized and we boarded fairly quickly with a minimum of confusion. Service was excellent throughout the ship. All the crew worked hard to make sure we were well taken care of both in our cabin and in all the public areas we used. People were very friendly, both crew & other cruisers. We took 2 shore excursions with the ship and thought they were worth the extra cost. This was especially true of the overnight Queenstown tour. We had excellent tour guides & comfortable transportation on both trips & both were well organized & informative. The most disappointing aspect of the trip was the food & the wine, which we thought was just okay. The food seemed fresh enough but flavor & presentation were generally lacking. We were eating in the ships restaurants but the food was not restaurant quality in our opinion. We ate in both the main dining room, the oceanview cafe and the 3 specialy restaurants and found all to be disappointing. Coffee on the ship was terrible and Celebrity needs to find a decent replacement. We participated in the wine tasting activity and were very disappointed in the wines they selected. We don't drink expensive wines but on the whole we did not find any that we enjoyed. In addition wines on board available in the dining room & speciality restaurants were rather expensive for the quality and we felt like we did not get a full glass unless we asked for one. We enjoyed the entertainment and thought it was all well done. Disembarkation was a little delayed but well organized. We found our bags quickly and moved easily out of the terminal. We were greeted by a friendly Ozzie and directed to waiting taxis for a ride to our hotel.

Our cabin was kept very clean & it was well organized. Bathroom was very nice & roomy w/ rounded glass enclosure for shower. Lighting in the bathroom could be brighter but the night light was nice to have. Bathroom lacked a box of tissues until we asked for one. Towels varied in quality and could have been better. Bed was confortable but not cushy. Pillows & comforter needed replacing as they were lumpy & limp. Veranda was good size with nice table & chairs. We had to ask for ice bucket however. Our cabin steward told us that unless we asked for a box of kleenex and an ice bucket they were not to be supplied. Celebrity really has gone overboard in their penny pinching policies it seems to us and I'm afraid they may prevent us from going on another cruise with this line.

All in all we had a enjoyable cruise but it would have been great if the food/wine had been better. It seems that Celebrity has instituted some penny pinching policies that they might want to rethink. Unfortunately I'm afraid the mediocre food/wine may prevent us from cruising with Celebrity again.
