We just returned from our second NCL cruise on the Norweigan Star through the Panama Canal. We weren't sure about spending that much time at sea but we absolutely loved it! There was a different amazing show in the Stardust theater every night... Las Vegas quality plus and lots of variety! The grand finale was fantastic, especially the Russian acrobats but we loved it all. We especially enjoyed the hypnotist, Brenda Kay and went to her three seminars as well. Also enjoyed all the bands around the ship, Zumba in the lounge, the games area on the 8th floor, lots of opportunity to dance, White night, the beautiful new murals on the promenade deck etc. etc. Yes, there's more to cruising than the buffet!

We really enjoyed all the ports and going through the canal and learning all about the history. Our favorite day was in Huatalco where we did our own excursion... a seven bay tour on a jet ski with snorkeling through Huatalco watersports. Puerto Valharta is a beautiful town that just needs exploring on your own by foot (take a short taxi to get there) and Cabo is great for beaching, snorkeling and exploring the Arches area by water taxi.

We mostly ate at the Versailles dining room, fantastic food, beautiful decor, and great service... always worth the short wait but we did wonder why they don't just convert some of the specialty restaurants to regular dining as they are very underutilized space. We met so many friendly fellow passengers on the nights we chose to share a table, always worth the slight gamble!
