Wonderful cruise ...
Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean
We thought Constellation was beautiful. We found all the crew, from cleaners to Captain, to be wonderful - friendly, helpful, dedicated, efficient, professional, talented, good sense of humour and the fact that they were from almost every corner of the world, was even more special.... a truly international crew.
We found the casual dining food to be very good with plenty of selection and the formal dining choices to be delicious.
My daughter and I loved the on-board entertainment - the highlight for us was in fact the crew talent night ... magic!
The ports of call were fantastic and all unique - a few of our favourites: Istanbul, Bodrum, Marmaris, Rhodes, Santorini.
A couple of negatives (that really didn't impact on how much we loved our cruise), was the fact that we observed most More Americans on the cruise to be quite a negative, complaining bunch of whingers who didn't seem to enjoy anything?! Quite bazaar and we were left wondering why they bothered leaving home. (Thankfully there were a few who restored our faith/opinions.)
The other thing was not being prepared for the disembarkation in Rome - the port is about an hour train ride from Rome and the train station at that port is horrible, with no ramps or lifts and awful WC facilities.
Overall, we'd both happily choose a Celebrity cruise again and my daughter has in fact already booked the next for herself and fiance' (honeymoon)! Less
Ocean view (Deck 2) - Starboard side, 1/2 dz cabins from Bow (front): Lovely, clean, comfortable cabin - no complaints what-so-ever! And the staff - beautiful, helpful, polite, dedicated crew members from all over the world ... absolutely delightful and a credit to the ship.
Port and Shore Excursions
Bodrum - wow, what a wonderful surprise ... clean, so pretty and friendly - and of course the history and site-seeing.
Istanbul (old city area) ... we would both go back there in a heart beat. It's clean, beautiful, friendly, inexpensive, good food and the history/site-seeing/culture is amazing.
