We have just disembarked the Diamond Princess, (cruise no: M331)
For the most part it was a great experience, we met some really good people, our cabin was amazing, the ports of call were great, some tours were not as good as some, could of had a little more choice.
The embarkment process was smoothe, as was disembarkment, and for a ship of that size that was impressive.
This cruise however was made up of a mainly older age group, say 70+.... which for us ( late 40's ) was a bit surprising. We would of liked to have had some info on age demographic for the cruise, not that all fit into this mould, but mostly we found them to be rude arrogent and impatient which became annoying as all passengers are onboard to enjoy themselves, not to be told by 'many' that we must be feeling left out because we are so young!! I mean hello, we were ther to enjoy ourselves.....and we are not that young!!!
The ship itself was lovely, the staff very obliging, the Entertainment was a little boring, no theme nights, and why does nothing extra/different ever get planned for Formal nights?? You have everyone dressed up, but after dinner ther is just the usual nightly activities, nothing different.
Overall we did manage to have a great time, we met a small number of very good people which helped make it great. The pool at the rear on deck 12 was fantastic, we spent alot time there and at the bar just above on deck 14, got some good sun and cocktails there...:)
