We had been wanting to go to Alaska on a cruise and this seemed like the perfect time. My Nephew was getting married in Seattle on the 4th of July and this one left of the 6th so we put this one in our sights. We decided to go directly through NCL because we didn't want any complications coming up at a later date. Brandon Hogan was the agent with NCL. His service was good and helpful. He was always pleasant and helpful even with the 1001 questions we asked. And if he wasn't sure on an answer, he was able to research it.

We booked less than a month before the cruise so our options were limited, but we did get a good deal on a nice Ocean View room 5012. It sleeps up to three with fold down bunk on one wall. It also has a connecting door but that didn't matter to us. We never met the people on the other side of us. The room was big enough for the three of us...but wasn't nice enough to stay in and look out the picture window. It was really nice to watch some of the icebergs floating by. The views were pleasant and it was nice to be down close to the water line to hear the sounds of the water and ship combining to make a constant calming white noise. The restroom was nice and modern. Designed with a utilitarian eye. A place for nearly everything. The size could be a little small for anyone in the plus size category.

Embarkation through the Port of Seattle was very very easy. The lines moved quickly and the check in was painless.

Cabin Review

The room was big enough for the three of us...but wasn't nice enough to stay in and look out the picture window. It was really nice to watch some of the icebergs floating by. The views were pleasant and it was nice to be down close to the water line to hear the sounds of the water and ship combining to make a constant calming white noise. However I really wish they had some way to wipe the windows from the outside. Being so close to the water line allowed for seaspray to lightly salt the glass. The restroom was nice and modern. Designed with a utilitarian eye. A place for nearly everything. The size could be a little small for anyone in the plus size category.
