We are new cruisers. I had been on a MSC years ago, and it was cheap and ok. My husband and I had been on the Royal Clipper and enjoyed the informality and small ship size. This cruise was a total change from our more active holidays, due to a back injury, so I did everything I could think of to cover the bases for hubbie. Celebrity did it all. We loved Blu, the steam room ,pool. The lectures were good, he was reading the day sheet avidly for the sea days! We had great private tours thru the roll call, and loved the schedule. Will Naples ever get some civic pride? The staff treated us fantastic. The martini bar fellows, the Blu crew ,Maggie, the sommelier , went out of their way. We went to Silk Harvest one night, it was good, but not great. Being newbies, we didn't look at the Blu menu, and wouldn't you know it that was the eve the beef short ribs were on it. We asked if it was coming around another night, and it wasn't. A few nights later we were told the short ribs were being made , specially for us! Wow! We were really impressed with the constant cleaning, and attention to details. My once dubious hubbie is a total convert, and is adamant that its going to be Celebrity all the way. Booked Infinity for Feb Antarctic.....!
