I'm an avid cruiser platinum with Carnival and many other lines. On Sunshine tranatlantic cruise from Barcelona to New Orleans, If you were a first time cruiser you might think everything was ok,or if you just cruise to drink and don't care about much this ship would be fine. But as one who cruises for the sites and things to do on a cruise ship I'm very disappointed, they say this is like a new ship,sorry added a deck and redid 3 levels the rest of ship was not touched. leaks all over ship smells in rooms and odd places,the plumbing system still very old,the elevators are crazy,and at times frightful, the food was bland at best,and reused 2-3 days but with a new name or a spice added. ALL venues are TOO small and always over-crowded, they did take out the steam-room that had a large window to look out,if was able to hold at least 20 people,there is no FREE steam-room now,but a 5 small person sauna,that the door was cut 3 inches short and in order to keep in heat about 6-7 towels were needed to close gap. The locker room was about the size of my home bathroom,we had one very small stool to aid passengers that need to sit,the women's don't have a stool at all.In locker room there is 2 showers for all the male passengers. If you didn't like trivia you would have gone crazy on ships crossing as that was about all they had to do.My cabin on 3rd deck was under the liquid lounge,and chairs were moved and dropped all night,wrote letters to hotel manager,and CEO as he was onboard,I had to have copies made at guest services,it seemed along time for a two page letter,then I sealed them and gave them back,the person said that the guest services manager would have to determine, whether to pass them on,I don't know who manager is,but it was clear to me that my letter had been at least partially read,they violated my privacy,and this is not expectable.
