We cruised on the 27th Oct Panama Canal cruise to Miami. Have been on NCL several times before and this ship lived up to previous experiences and expectations. we usually choose an inside cabin, preferring to spend less as we are always up on the decks or on shore, so why waste money on a dearer cabin. Cabin was great, smaller than other lines we have been on, but fine for us. Very quiet, beautifully serviced as always, thank you so much Shane...how do you keep smiling everyday for everyone and telling us how much you like your work? It shows!
Dining in the restaurants was sometimes a little slow with service, so we always planned an early dinner and saw the late theatre show. Food was good, not fantastic, and sometimes not what you would expect from the description! But really we had little to complain about and much to compliment the fantastic staff, the cleanliness, the variety of food.
As always shore excursions are way too dear, so we usually do our own thing finding a similar tour on land for half the price.
Being part of the cruise critic communtiy we received great bonuses, thank you staff...from choc strawberries to a free bridge tour and a welcome morning tea to meet the captain. Always worth being part of the cruise critic community and you can meet so many wonderful people straight away that you remain friends with for the cruise (and beyond often!!)
Theatre shows were varied as always, comedians being soso, imported acts from Las Vegas..Oh What a Night fantastic!
Disembarkation was shocking with 9 cruise ship arriving at once and the terminals only holding so many people...we didn't get off the ship till 12 noon instead of the expected 9am!...the harbour staff are to blame for this chaos and need to improve their act considerably.
We will be cruising with NCL again next year, thank you for your continued comfort and hospitality.
