Carnival Destiny is a beautiful ship and there is not one bad thing I can say about this cruise. We arrived at the ship at 3pm and there was no line. Embarkation was very easy. We loved our Balcony room. It was very clean and our room steward Wayan was very nice and attentive. This was our 4th Carnival cruise and by far the Destiny had the best food. The food was good to excellent but never bad. Our waiter was awesome, in fact the entire staff on this ship provided excellent customer service. I had read so many bad reviews so I was prepared, but everyone and everything about this ship was great. Our first stop, St Thomas didn't work out as planned for us and we ended up walking around. The town is just one jewelry store after another so unless you want jewelry, don't bother. Take a nice shore excursion and have some fun, or ferry over to St. John. Across from the pier there is a sports bar that is worth stopping and having a beer or some food and to the left of the bar, upstairs there is an internet cafe and bar that is worth the visit if you want to send or check your e-mail. If you don't know by now, stay away from the internet on the ship as it will really cost you. continued.....

Next stop Dominica. Beautiful Island and worth seeing the entire Island. We did that by hiring Woody from "Off the beaten path". He can be reached at www.adquatics@yahoo.com and his website is www.travelbarefoot.com/Tours/obt. Woody drove us around the Island for about 7 hrs and took us to places that other cruise ship tours did not go so it was very peaceful. He is well worth looking into. It was the best of all of the Islands we visited. Next Barbados: To me it was just like any tourist beach destination. We hired a taxi and he took us to the "spots" were everyone goes and we didn't feel anything special about this Island and didn't get to see much of it either. We obviously picked the wrong taxi driver. We didn't walk far enough away from the ship and got taken by the taxi's hanging out close by. I am sure there is alot more to this Island than we saw. Also, There is tons of traffic and traffic jams. Best to walk in town and check out all the shops. Next we went to Aruba that Destiny will no longer be going to so I won't get into it but it is an Island I'd like to visit again. We had alot of fun there. Continued....

last stop Puerto Rico: We stayed a couple of days in San Juan and loved it. Old town is a great place to walk around and visit the Forts. We stayed at the Condado Plaza and it was a great place to stay. It was a 3 mile walk from Old San Juan but a beautiful walk (we took a cab back). I hope someday to go back and explore the entire Island. Overall, this was a fantastic trip. Have no doubts about the Destiny and don't listen to any of the bad reviews. It was perfect.
