This is my first attempt at a cruise review, so inadequacies may be obvious. Embarcation in Barcelona was seamless. Silversea accommodated us as we had arrived early due to a mistiming of our taxi.So full marks there
The Vista suite was very adequate. We have had balcony cabins before on Silversea( both Spirit and Cloud), but found it unnecessary because the deck availability was more than enough, just a preference. Bed was superb. The pillows were so so, but that will always be the case for us. The maid was thorough. The 'Butler' we hardly saw which speaks to that particular service on this trip.
We can remember eating as well as this in a first class hotel in Sorrento, in the Hilton Nailert in Bankok and in the now closed Sans Soucis in Toronto. Suffice it to say we feel this is world class cuisine. The staff are superb. We had the most magnificent waiter called Jojo. It will be the highlight of your journey More
if you get him. He has a BSc in Hotel Management and it shows through. Having said that it is only fair to state that the staff are all so good , pleasant and courteous in an extremely demanding social interface.
The passengers were a very interactive and friendly group. Our last voyage on the Spirit was during her maiden Transatlantic crossing in 2010, and the passengers on that voyage were a more detached even perhaps arrogant group, but none of that this time thank goodness.
I make no comment on the ports of call as they do not interest us. Our attention is focused on the sea days and the vessel. She handled a moderate "Battering" on this voyage very well, and I had no complaints. Less
